Education

We are passionate about seeing creative learning being used in schools to support teachers and students. All of our sessions and courses for students focus on developing functional and key skills, and can be delivered to all year groups. For teachers we offer training and support in developing creative learning in education. We are able to develop training that can fit into your staff development program. Our work includes alternative education, our self-development course Footsteps and Theatre in Education projects. As specialists in using creative techniques with challenging behaviours, we also have extensive knowledge and experience in: conflict management, mediation, anger management, social development, employability skills, sexual exploitation, and working with gangs and offenders creatively. We offer a flexible service allowing us to work with you and provide a creative programme for your students. Such programmes have included:

  • play-in-a-day for primary schools,
  • workshops around a range of themes, including GCSE drama and English texts
  • Interactive performances around selected themes
  • Directing of school productions

The sessions were well managed and all the children were catered for and managed to join in, even those who usually found group work difficult. On the whole it was a positive experience.

The course helped me, because I didn’t know how to handle my emotions and anger at first and I didn’t have a lot of confidence or self-esteem. I also had trust issues. But when I came here the staff were really welcoming and wanted to help me sort myself out.
